Within the framework of this call, the sustainable establishment and expansion of RTI-Partnerships will be supported. These partnerships, organized as consortia, jointly address a practice-oriented topic in an inter- and transdisciplinary manner.

The objectives of the RTI partnership focus on:

• Establishing new R&D networks of diverse stakeholder groups in Lower Austria (research institutions, companies, educational institutions, public administration, associations of interest, etc.),

• Successfully acquiring third-party funding, in particular in the field of knowledge and technology transfer.

In terms of content, the RTI-Partnership should:

• Address a new, forward-looking research topic that holds development potential and relevance for the Lower Austrian region,

• Develop and/or apply new scientific approaches or methods (e.g., through collaboration between different scientific disciplines),

• Strengthen knowledge and technology transfer between research and business in Lower Austria,

• Contribute in the medium and long term to new product, process and/or service innovations, thereby supporting value creation in Lower Austria,

• Involve, as far as possible, all key actors and stakeholders related to the topic in Lower Austria, while also including stakeholders from outside the region,

• Aim at sustainability and continuation beyond the funding period.
